Keiko Organic Baby Clothing
I had the opportunity to design a logo for an organic baby clothing brand—a project that seamlessly aligned with my personal values and design sensibilities. The challenge was to create a logo that encapsulated the brand’s dual essence: its dedication to organic, eco-friendly practices and its focus on nurturing, gentle care for babies.
The vision was for the logo to represent both the organic approach and the innocence of babies, I aimed to strike a balance between nature-inspired elements and soft, playful visuals. The logo needed to feel approachable and trustworthy while conveying the brand’s commitment to sustainability.

The Process
Research and Inspiration:
  • I explored motifs associated with nature—leaves, sprouting plants, and soft, earthy tones.
  • I also studied the visual language of baby-focused brands to understand what fosters a sense of warmth and care.

Sketching and Ideation:
  • I started with hand-drawn concepts, experimenting with organic shapes and forms that felt gentle and harmonious. The sketch explores the concept of combining a leaf and a baby onesie to represent both the organic nature of the brand and its focus on baby clothing. The designs experiment with different levels of detail and abstraction to find the perfect balance between simplicity and recognizability.
Refining
Leaf Motif:
  • Represents the organic and sustainable ethos of the brand.
  • The leaf's veins are carefully integrated to suggest growth and nature.

Baby Onesie Shape:
  • The outline of the designs resembles a baby onesie, directly tying the logo to the product.
  • The use of rounded and soft forms maintains a sense of warmth and approachability.

Variations:
  • Each iteration plays with the density and complexity of the leaf pattern. Some are more minimal, while others emphasize the organic texture of the veins.
  • Subtle differences in proportions and line thickness test the clarity and scalability of the design.
Results
  • This iterative sketching phase helped refine the visual language, ensuring the final logo would feel clean, symbolic, and reflective of the brand’s mission.
  • Combining it with clean typography allowed the brand’s eco-friendly ethos to shine through.
